Marc and Brittney do special times at Halloween. This year, they were Jasmine and Aladdin with a magic carpet ride. Marc took a skate board and put a carpet on it so they could float down the street. He didn't even have to shave his beard this year.
After Halloween, the parents took Mason on a trip to Orlando for his 12th birthday (which was last year, but we had travel restrictions). Theron and I were able to live in their house and be grandparents, parents and guardians of the other three children. It's always interesting when you actually are with the grandchildren 24/7. I learned that I don't make macaroni and cheese (from a box) the right way - I made it on the stove rather than in the microwave. I learned that Kacy doesn't like to touch coins; Tyce knows where everything is; and Ali needed some special hugs from time to time.
We took them to an aquarium one day for an activity and had a great time.
Tyce and Ali went into the bird cage and had birds land all over them. It was a fun adventure and a break from homework and housework.
