We had a full day on Friday of Exploratorium fun with Ali and Mason. This was the kids first subway/mass transit ride. A little boring, but still a part of the adventure. It was so interesting to see them look, touch, experiment with and have fun with all the displays in this center. Ali really enjoyed drinking from the toilet. This has to be a wedding picture to show.
Saturday was the Maker Faire and wow what an experience. It was mind boggling to see all the things people were making - like this animaton spider. I think everyone was overwhelmed - except Marc and Theron, they understood everything that was going on and how to build it.
Brittney's mom and dad and sister and family were at Disneyland this same weekend, so we decided to drive down and take in the theme parks. Theron and I haven't been to Disneyland in years and we had never been to California Adventure. It was so much fun being with little kids and see the excitement on their faces as they shot lasers in Toyland, drove Cars, rode the coaster in Bugs Life, watched the animations in Pirates of the Caribbean, and sang along with It's a Small World.
Theron took Mason on Space Mountain and he was grinning from ear to ear to know he was big enough to do these things. Barring the long ride to Anaheim, it was a great time to be with Marc and Brittney.
Ali has a great pose with Goofy in the background.
